Ancient Egyptian Cartouche Hieroglyphics Designs

Cartouche hieroglyphics: an oval plaque representing the birth name of pharaohs, queens and royalty. A line was placed at the end of the oval, indicating the royal stature.

• Using the chart below or this link http://www.virtual-egypt.com/newhtml/glyph/glyph.html to find the hieroglyphics that match the letters or sounds in your name.
• You can use your first and last name or first and middle name. Your name must have at least 6 letters in it. So use a combination that meets the requirements.
• The symbols should go from top to bottom instead of left to right.
• Your cartouche should be done a color media such as , colored pencils, watercolors or pastels on A4 paper or larger (you can use unusual media if it fits the design of your cartouche).
• Try to make your cartouche resemble a relief carving in stone. Use natural colors that are typical of Ancient Egyptian Art. See examples below for references.
