In this monotype depicting the exterior of a Waffle House using a bright yellows and blue palette, represents visual storytelling serving as a narrative of nostalgia.

Certain places, such as the Waffle House, hold a unique position in our personal histories, for better or worse. For example, I worked full-time at this particular Waffle House throughout high school. I struggled and learned too early about life in this place.

This artwork not only pays homage to the physical space but also encapsulates the emotions it elicits (both bright but also broken down).
