Vico dei Panettieri is a street in the historic center of Naples, Italy. Named for its history in flour milling, it was once called Vico Pistorius, which translates to 'Alley of the Crushers' in English, referring to the milling process where grain was pounded to make flour. This is why the monotype is titled 'Alley of the Crushers.' It connects Via dei Tribunali with Via San Biagio dei Librari.

The piece is based on my photography. Check out my viral videos explaining the process on my social media accounts.

The uneven edges and the monotype technique itself emphasize the singular, one-of-a-kind nature of each print. Painted with high quality acrylic paints.
