Porta Della Carta

2026

2026
Monotype
Image size 18x24"  on slightly larger paper
Uneven borders on Bristol
Signed

This one photo that I took in Venice, Italy, was the starting point for this artwork (gel plate monotype).

I love the details of the historic bottle-bottom glass windows of the Porta della Carta. I wanted to focus on windows as symbols of light and hope, using layers of gold and phthalo blue as a small nod to Venice.
